Viña Del Mar, Chile

Today, we decided to do a beach day. We figured since we didn’t have any money yesterday that we could check out a few of the little stands and get some trinkets. Jenny was also looking to get shells  braided in her hair, but once we arrived to the beach, it was a ghost town. It was actually kind of nice though, because we had the whole beach to ourselves.

After a few hours of reading and relaxing on the beach we were hungry for lunch. We found a great pizza place (Diego Pizza) on yelp that looked good the night before so we figured we could try it for lunch. The menu had pictures of all their pizza’s which made it easy to figure out which one we wanted. We ended up getting a pepperoni and corn pizza with fresh arugula. We didn’t know the pizza had corn on it when we ordered it, but it ended up being really good. After we ate, we grabbed our things at the hostel and headed to Valparaiso. It wasn’t too far and we took a uber which made things easy.  Jenny and I were quite happy with our choice not to take the bus because our hostel was on one of the cerros (hills) so it would have been awful to carry our bags up that hill. Jenny booked the hotel using USAA points, so the hostel was more of an hotel/bed and breakfast, which was nice because Jenny and I had our own room. The rest of the night was dedicated to research again, and helping Tim figure out the best way to get from Santiago to Bariloche.
