Viña del Mar, Chile
The next day in Vina del Mar was super productive. Jenny was furiously looking up information to plan out the trip through Peru because it was going to be precision travel from this point on. We knew we needed to get to Bariloche to meet Tim on the 25th, and then in Cusco to meet up with Jason, Chelsea, and Justin on April 9th. We spent almost a full day just using the Wi-Fi and looking out buses, flights, hostels and everything in between. It was about 5pm before I started to get stir crazy and needed to get out.
We decided to go for a run down the beach path but there were too many people, so it ended up being more of a walk at the beginning. Because it was the weekend, the boardwalk was full of people, vendors, street food, etc. We wandered through...didn't see anything we had to have, so once we passed all the masses of people, we continued our workout again. The rest of the run was pretty (pictures attached), but we're super out of shape, so the actual run felt pretty terrible.
We headed back to our hostel, cleaned up a bit and went in search of a restaurant that would be open on Sunday. We saw a sushi place that had a lot of people in it, so we decided to give it a try. The sushi was pretty good. Jenny had shrimp tempura, per usual, and I had a chicken teriyaki roll. We also had our first pisco sours of Chile! yum!
