Torres del Paine, Chile

Day 2 started off slow with us cooking some oatmeal for breakfast topped with some jelly as flavoring. I lost my peanut butter jar so we were down to one jar.  We figured it was better to have jelly oatmeal and peanut butter wraps than the other way around.  This trek was  probably one of our favorites. This trek was a full day with our backpacks but we went around these lakes that were such a unique color of blue. The terrain was still difficult with the rolling hills, but we were still able to make good time. That evening we were staying at domo El Frances. The domo was essentially camping in a radome...bunk bends, rented sleeping bags, and blanket insulation around the dome.  We were lucky that there were hot showers at this site, so it felt really nice to warm up and get clean before cooking dinner.  Jenny was apparently super exhausted because she went to bed at 7 PM...I read my book until around 9 PM when I went to bed.
