Ushuaia, Argentina

The flight to Ushuaia was pretty easy for us actually. We woke up early, saw the sunrise at the Buenos Aires airport and it was smooth sailing from there. Once we arrived in Ushuaia, we realized that the temperature was quite different from the hot temperatures we were used to in BA/Uruguay. Luckily, we wore our sweatshirts on the plane so when we got to the 50-degree weather it wasn’t too bad. Ushuaia is a  beautiful city on the water surrounded by mountains.  Since we couldn’t check into our hostel until 2pm (one of a million other rules at this hostel) so we had to kill some time. We walked around town, looked at the few souvenir stores that were open on a Sunday and ran to the grocery store because it closed at 2pm.  Today ended up being mostly a scouting day so we could figure out what supplies we needed from what store so we could get the warm clothes we needed.
