Buenos Aires, Argentina

We decided to explore the neighborhood of Palermo. Palermo is the hip neighborhood and if we were to live in BA, this would probably be where we would live. The neighborhood is subdivided into a few different parts but our favorite was Palermo Soho. It had a bunch of shops, cafes, and trendy stores there. From the looks of the neighborhood, it looks like everyone just eats, drinks, and shops there.

In the morning, we wandered around this huge park that they have on the edge of the neighborhood. They had a rose garden, a few lakes, and everyone seemed to just be roller blading or enjoying the nice weather. After walking around park, we stumbled upon this awesome little café called El Patio. It was like going to someone's backyard for tea time. We ate lunch there and did some trip planning while we enjoyed coffee and tea. Per Kelsie's recommendation, the plan for the evening was to go Don Julio for parilla. The only reservation they take online is at 11pm and that is past our bedtime so we decided to try our luck and just get there when it opens. Lucky for us, we were immediately seated and we enjoyed a fantastic meal outside right on the corner. We each ordered a steak with a few sides and a bottle of wine to top it off. It was so much food. We only ate half of everything but that worked out great because we had leftovers we could reheat another night. Highly recommend this place, even if it can be a bit of a tourist trap.
