Montevideo, Uruguay to Buenos Aires, Argentina

We started this day at about 5am because our bus to Colonia left at 7am from the bus terminal.  We took the bus from Montevideo to Colonia and then the ferry back to Buenos Aires.  We felt that we hit a bunch of the locations we wanted to go to already so it was a lazy day for us. We were hungry for lunch and ended up finding a delicious Italian place for lunch called Campo de Fiori. It was a bit fancier than we initially thought but homemade pasta was delicious. We could see the chefs rolling out the dough for the pasta, so that was quite intriguing. Jenny and I both got raviolis and I  mine with a carbonara sauce, Jenny got the 4 cheese.  Unfortunately the carbonara was more like  a cream sauce with scrambled eggs on top, but it was still tasty.

We headed back to the hotel and started frantically researching what we wanted to do next, since we had absolutely zero plans.  We ended up booking a last minute flight for tomorrow to Ushuaia, the southernmost tip of South America.  I guess it was also at this point that we decided we were going to hop on a ship headed to Antarctica in a few days.  Jenny was lucky enough to go with her family a few years earlier and kept saying how awesome it was and how she would go back in a heartbeat if she could....well we ended up finding a company that was offering last minute deals on upcoming departures, so we bit the bullet and said yes to leaving on February 21st!  It was definitely expensive, but not compared to the normal fare.
