Buenos Aires, Argentina

Jenny and I decided to take our time getting up because we didn’t have much planned to start the day. We decided to go on a run through the neighborhood. We ended up running around Puerto Madero, which was a really nice part of town with many shops and restaurants. It had a path along both sides of the river that comes into the city which made running much better than the cobblestone streets and lots of traffic lights  we were trying to navigate at the beginning of the run. After the run, we went to one of the free walking tours of Buenos Aires in the City Center. There were so many people on the tour but our guide was informative, gave us a history lesson, and showed us some of the more famous sites including the Plaza de Mayo, Mothers of the May Square, the Pink Government House. Jenny, myself and one of our roommates, Daniel from Germany, decided to walk back to Puerto Madero after the tour and took a few photos of Puente de la Mujer. It was so hot that we had to get a snack at McDonalds and got some ice cream. I got the dulce de leche/vanilla swirl and it was fantastic. We returned back to our hostel, made some couscous with some veggies we got next door and called it a night.
