Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay

Since we did not spend much time walking around Colonia yesterday, after breakfast we decided to go explore the small town. The old stone streets and quiet neighborhood made it for an enjoyable morning, even if it rained a bit. We had to catch the bus to Montevideo at 1:00, but of course that bus was full so we caught the 2pm bus instead. This time we were smart and decided to book our bus tickets for the next day to make sure we got a seat on the one we wanted. Our hostel in Montevideo has been great. I would recommend Bo! Hostel for anyone coming into Montevideo. It's a smaller hostel and everyone is really chill here. We are lucky enough to have a group of guys jamming out playing music together while we just relaxed on the couch not being able to contribute anything musically. They even have an accordion guy! Jenny is in love with the hostel cats! There are 2 brothers, one white and one grey, and she has been petting them all evening. Since everything is closed on Sunday, we cooked a hodge podge of mac and cheese with a side of scrambled eggs and carrots. Tomorrow we head out to La Paloma for a couple nights to enjoy the Uruguayan beaches. Since our time in Montevideo has been short we think we will come back through when more things are open.

Pro Tip: Book your buses in advance!
